Audio Engineer/Front of House Mix
The Round Barn Theatre at The Barns at Nappanee is actively seeking an Audio Engineer to serve as a front-of-house mixer for our live theatre performances in The Round Barn Theatre.
Duties would include overseeing sound responsibilities for productions, running and mixing sound for performances and tech/dress rehearsals, and maintaining equipment as needed. Performances run Thursdays-Sundays.
This is a paid position and would be contracted per production. Stipend amounts begin at $1750.

Costume Shop Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager, with evaluations at the end of each season
Hours: Full-time (40 hours); some nights and weekends.
Compensation: Starting at $32,000/yr plus Costume Design Compensation
Job Summary and Responsibilities: The Costume Shop Supervisor at The Round Barn Theatre is responsible for all things costumes, including the costume shop as well as the overall design process. Working within the established policies and procedures of the organization, with the assistance of staff and volunteers and with oversight by the Operations Manager, duties include, but are not limited to: supervising the shop staff and overhire workers, coordinating shop functions, coordinating hair + makeup, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, maintaining budgets, ordering supplies, updating/maintaining stock, scheduling fittings, scheduling shop hours, overseeing builds, maintenance of wig/make-up stock, supervising rentals/loans, construction as needed, and working with designers to produce shows, and any other tasks deemed necessary by Operations Manager and Producers. The Costume Shop Manager will attend weekly staff meetings.
Costume Design Opportunity: Along with the Costume Shop Manager position, the opportunity to design each production would be given. The Costume Designer works closely with the Producers, show designers, directors, and other production staff to create amazing productions of professional quality, while creating and executing costume and make-up/wig designs for our professional company of actors. For each costume design, a stipend would be provided on top of the full-time yearly salary.
Education: BA or BFA in theatre with an emphasis on theatre design and construction or equivalent experience.
Experience: at least 1 year of experience in managing a shop, Significant costume administration experience, Strong leadership, multi-tasking, troubleshooting and communication skills, Superior knowledge of costume construction
Availability: 40 hours per week based on the theatre calendar, including nights and weekends during tech weeks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with fellow designers, directors, and producers.
Ability to effectively lead the costume department of RBT.
Ability to recruit, train, and retain technical staff and volunteers.
Ability to multi-task and have strong organizational skills.
Ability to adhere to schedules and meet all production deadlines.
Working knowledge of Google Suite apps.
